RECOGNIZE THE EMERGING COMPANIES IN YOUR CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OR STATE BY CELEBRATING STARTUP DAY ACROSS AMERICA.

On August 4th, 2016, we invite all Members of Congress to celebrate the ingenuity and entrepreneurship taking place right in their back-yards. Startup Day Across America connects elected officials with the startups in the communities they represent so that they can learn about the challenges new companies face and meet the business leaders building the future. This bipartisan, bicameral effort also raises awareness and help generate support for startup communities across the country.

Last August marked the third annual Startup Day. More than three-dozen members of Congress from both parties participated to showcase the role these businesses play in innovation and job creation.

This year’s effort is led by:

Representatives:
Rep. Jared Polis (CO-2)
Rep. Darrell Issa (CA-49)
Rep. Blake Farenthold (TX-27)
Rep. Seth Moulton (MA-6)
Senators:
Sen. Gary Peters (MI)
Sen. Steve Daines (MT)
Sen. Mark Warner (VA)

Sen. Tim Scott (SC)

Last year more than 70 members of Congress traveled to their districts and states on Startup Day to visit with entrepreneurs, incubators, accelerators, and other leaders in the innovation economy.
